Same exact problem here. The problem is Hulu blocking access when on VPN. Hulu apparently does not like you to have privacy when logging in to their site. It's my network, my computer, and I'm paying for the services I receive.

It's a security feature that stays on by default. It turns on again automatically on my phone. I only stumbled upon this solution because our Ring doorbell somehow became disconnected from our WiFi, and in the process of fixing it, the app asked me to disable the VPN on my phone before re-syncing.
